The words you use to market your ministry and communicate to your audience are incredibly important, but oftentimes we want to focus our messages on data and statistics. Data and statistics don’t make us feel anything, but stories have the power to make us feel. Stories have the power to emotionally engage an audience with far greater effectiveness than data and statistics. In this course, we’ll walk you through our story-centric messaging strategy and help you communicate clearly with your audience. Like much of our content, the tools we’ll teach in this course are rooted in The Hero’s Journey, a timeless storytelling structure that relates to all people across all cultures.
This course is designed for ministry leaders and marketing directors looking to simplify their messaging and marketing communications, rather than content that uselessly sits in an employee handbook. The principles you’ll learn in this course are used extensively in the corporate sector, and it’s time the Church and Christian ministries across the globe started using these principles to their advantage. This course is designed to work in conjunction with Purpose-Driven Strategy.
From 5:40 – 14:38 we walk through a quick summary of The Hero’s Journey and Monroe’s Motivated Sequence, as this will serve as the structure we follow in our messaging and strategy work.
From 14:40 – 33:30 we discuss your brand story script.
From 33:33 – 38:32 we discuss your brands vital traits (actionable core values).
From 38:33 – 43:02 we discuss your one-liner and the structure we use to craft that piece of content.
As a part of this course we are offering live consultation via Zoom. You can choose to take the course live with our instructors OR schedule a live critique of your images.
